The Board of Directors, management and the staff of Rockville Bank and its affiliate, SBR Mortgage Company appreciate the importance of maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of all customer information. That is why we have adopted the following privacy practices:

What Information Do We Collect?
We collect, retain and use information about our customers only when we believe that it is reasonably necessary or useful for us to operate the bank or an affiliated company. We occasionally collect, retain or use information in order to make products, services or other opportunities available to customers. Depending upon the product or service you request, we may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency or marketing firm.

What Information Is Shared With Others:
We may disclose nonpublic personal information to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. Such nonaffiliated financial institutions may include service providers, such as a broker dealer or an insurance agent. Nonfinancial companies may include, for example, companies that assist us with mailings. We reserve the right to disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to these companies and financial institutions. We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law. For example, we may share information when requested or consented to by the consumer; to conduct business; to law enforcement and regulatory authorities, and to protect the bank’s interests. We may, from time to time, share some or all of the information we collect about you within our corporate family. At present, the companies in our corporate family who may receive this information are Rockville Bank and SBR Mortgage Company. The information that may be shared within our corporate family includes information about your transactions or experiences with one of our companies (for example, your loan balances). Certain other information might also be exchanged, unless you tell us not to. That “other information” might include, for example:


• Information we obtain from your application, such as your income or your account balances at other financial  institutions;
• Information we obtain from a consumer report, such as your credit score or credit history;
• Information we obtain to verify representations made by you, such as information about your 
  open lines of credit with others; and
• Information obtained from another person or entity regarding an employment, credit or other
  relationship with you, such as your employment history.

If you prefer that we not share this “other information” within our corporate family, you may direct us not to do so by calling us 1-860-291-3600 and ask to speak to our Compliance Officer.

Please note that your direction to refrain from the exchange of information within our corporate family will only apply to the “other information” described above. Your direction will not restrict the exchange of information that is otherwise permitted or required by law. 

If you direct us not to exchange other information within our corporate family, your request will apply to all of your consumer relationships with both of the service providers in our corporate family. If you have a joint account, a request by one party will apply to other information maintained with respect to all parties.

If you decide to close your accounts or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

What Information Security Measures Have We Put In Place To Secure Your Privacy?
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect your nonpublic personal information. We have appropriate security measures to guard against unauthorized access to customer information. We have policies and procedures in place designed to limit access to nonpublic personal information about you within the Bank to employees with a legitimate business or legal reason to access such information. Our employees are trained on the proper handling of customer information so that they will understand the importance of confidentiality and privacy responsibilities. Employees who violate these policies may be subject to appropriate disciplinary action. We value our banking relationship with you. If at any time you have questions about the information privacy practices of Rockville Bank or SBR Mortgage Company, please contact the Branch that’s most convenient for you. This privacy notice is merely a summary of select aspects of policies and procedures and does not constitute a contract. We reserve the right to revise the policies and procedures described in this privacy notice from time to time, and to the extent permitted by law, those revisions may affect the nonpublic personal information of current and former customers.

Accounts To Be Escheated:
When Rockville Bank has not had contact with a customer for three (3) years, we are required by law to escheat the funds held in an account to the State of Connecticut.  Prior to escheating the funds, Rockville Bank will print the owner/s name/s in the local paper and post their name/s in our branch lobbies in an effort to contact the customer before sending the funds to the State of Connecticut.  If you prefer that your name not be printed in the newspaper or posted in our lobbies during this process, you may direct us not to do so by calling 1-860-291-3600 and asking to speak to our Compliance Officer.
