WHAT DOES “LEED” CERTIFICATION MEAN?

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. To be awarded LEED certification our building was built using material, processes and philosophies which will improve the overall environment and promote operational efficiency that uses less energy and natural resources.

Rockville Bank’s branch at 768 North Main Street in Manchester is the first bank to be built in Connecticut to adopt the LEED principles, incorporating the latest techniques of energy efficient design.

We’ve converted all our electric lights to energy efficient lighting in all our branches and offices.

ECOSMART AT ALL OUR BRANCHES.

All equipment we purchase meets the “Energy Star” rating, whether Energy Star Rated Appliances it’s the heating or air conditioning system or a refrigerator.

Each branch is dedicated to improving our environment and our goal is to recycle 80% of all waste materials. Recycling Bins And with two hybrids, the Bank’s vehicles and courier services promote energy efficiency.
