Rockville Bank Names Richard J. Trachimowicz Executive Vice President

ROCKVILLE, CONN., May 10, 2010 –Richard J. Trachimowicz has been named an Executive Vice President of Rockville Bank, based in Rockville, Conn. The announcement was made by William J. McGurk, Rockville Bank President and Chief Executive Officer at the Bank’s Annual Meeting.

“Rick Trachimowicz is a skilled banker who brings nearly 35 years of experience to his new job, with the past 14 of them at Rockville Bank,” explained Rockville Bank President & CEO William J. McGurk. “Rick has been Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Administrative Services for Rockville Bank since 2005. Prior to that position, he was the Bank’s Senior Vice President and Retail Banking Officer.”

As an Executive Vice President of Rockville Bank, Trachimowicz is responsible for Retail Banking, Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, Facilities, Purchasing and Project Management for the Bank. He represents the Bank in many business and community organization projects and events, including as a Board member of the Manchester Community College Foundation and of the Center for Financial Training – Atlantic and Central States, and as a Management Committee member of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management.

Prior to joining Rockville Bank, Trachimowicz worked for 20 years at Northeast Savings Bank in Hartford, Conn. in a variety of management positions. He received an undergraduate degree from Trinity College in Hartford, with a double major in History and Political Science, and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Clark University in Worcester, Mass.

Trachimowicz lives in Princeton, Mass. with his wife, Dianne, with whom he has two children.
