Robert S. Ciraco Promoted To Assistant Vice President / Mortgage Operations And Secondary Market Officer

ROCKVILLE, CONN., July 13, 2010 – Robert S. Ciraco has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Mortgage Operations and Secondary Market Officer at Rockville Bank. The announcement was made at the recent Annual Meeting by William J. McGurk, Rockville Bank President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Ciraco reports to the Vice President/Consumer Loan Officer, and is responsible for assisting in the management of mortgage underwriting, processing and closing functions for the bank. He also manages the selling of mortgages into the secondary market while maintaining the servicing in house.

“Robert Ciraco has a strong financial background, giving him a thorough understanding of the residential loan needs of the communities served by Rockville Bank,” explained Rockville Bank President and CEO William J. McGurk. “This knowledge allows him to enhance lending operations and products to meet the needs of our customers.”

Mr. Ciraco has more than 15 years of diversified experience in consumer and residential real estate lending. His experience includes management of mortgage lending operations along with an extensive background in mortgage origination, underwriting, processing and lending compliance at a number of large national banks, regional banks, and financial institutions.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut. He holds his Federal Housing Administration Delegated Underwriter rating and has attended numerous courses on real estate lending compliance, underwriting and loan origination.

Mr. Ciraco has been active in local youth sports as a former youth hockey coach and member of the Board of Directors for the Eastern Connecticut Hockey Organization (ECHO) and as a baseball coach for the Tolland Little League. He is a former member of the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce. He lives in Tolland, Conn. with his wife, Deborah, and their five children.
