Robert Davidson Joins Rockville Bank As Vice President / Commercial Banking Officer

ROCKVILLE, CONN., July 22, 2010 – Robert Davidson recently joined Rockville Bank as Vice President/Commercial Banking Officer and Team Leader. Mr. Davidson will manage a team of commercial banking officers who will participate in the creation and implementation of strategies for new business development, as well as portfolio management projects.

“Bob Davidson brings more than 15 years of experience in finance and commercial banking,” explained William J. McGurk, President and CEO of Rockville Bank. “He is a great asset to our Bank and we welcome him.”

Mr. Davidson was formerly a Vice President/Business Banking Relationship Manager at Sovereign Bank in Avon, Conn. where he was responsible for directing and developing new business efforts, including new business loans and deposit acquisitions.

He has a Master’s degree in Finance from the American International College in Springfield, Mass. and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Mr. Davidson is a member of the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, the Colchester Business Association, and the Richmond Memorial Library Association in Marlborough, Conn. He is a past member of the Government Affairs Committee of the Avon Chamber of Commerce.
