Radhika Deshmukh Promoted To Branch Officer At Rockville Bank

Radhika Deshmukh has been promoted to Branch Officer at Rockville Bank (Conn.). The announcement was made by William J. McGurk, Rockville Bank President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Deshmukh manages the office at the Bank’s Lafayette Square Branch at 20 Hyde Ave. in Vernon, Conn. However, because of severe structural damage to that building this winter, Ms. Deshmukh and that branch currently are operating at a nearby temporary location in the former Tim Hortons shop at 1302 Hartford Turnpike in Vernon. Rockville Bank will rebuild a new and better Lafayette Square branch on the original site which is expected to reopen in late fall.

Ms. Deshmukh has more than 10 years of banking experience at Rockville Bank. She began her career in June 2000 as a Part-Time Teller at Rockville Bank’s Ellington Branch and moved to the Bank’s Enfield branch as a Customer Service Representative in 2002. Most recently, she was the Assistant Branch Manager at Rockville Bank’s Somers branch at 612 Main Street.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the Homeopathic Medical College in Maharashtra, India, and has completed several classes at the New England College of Business & Finance.

Ms. Deshmukh lives in Somers, Conn., with her husband, Vilas, and their daughter and son.
